Loving Love: Season 2

I'm about half way through the second season of Love. Mr. Apatow has found a way to do it again. This Netflix original is not only funny in a humble yet smart and edgy way, it is something that I feel anyone can relate to. Paul Rust really hits a homerun as the main character, Gus. His personality contrasts really well with his love interest Mickey. They're portrayal paints a very realistic picture of people dealing with ordinary problems trying to find their way. If you haven't checked it out yet, please do yourself a favor. You won't be disappointed. Enjoy! C

Taking it all in

Over the past year it has become crystal clear to me to not sweat the small things. Rather than sink into a spiral of fear and doubt, I have finally realized that the only thing that you can do is to just roll with it. There are times when I pull up 20-20 hindsight and wish that I might have done a few things differently ten years ago, however, if I was able to magically go back and switch gears, I may have missed out on some of my most cherished and proud accomplishments and memories of my lifetime. I've said it before and it I think it is worth repeating for those who might be going through a similar stage that I did in my early 20s. Take it all in and enjoy the ride. Keep working extremely hard and one way or another it will hopefully click and everything will come together as it has for me up to this point in my life. Next week I turn 28. I have no idea where the time has gone. For the first time in ten years, I feel like I am starting to see everything come together. My advice to others is to stay the course, work even harder than ever before to stand out, stay humble and stay professional. It is never to late to hit the reset button and turn up the volume just a little bit more. If I could go back to 2007 tomorrow and do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing.

Winberies: A Classic Princeton Pub

There is something about a walk through downtown Princeton that just puts a smile on my face. With warm and unseasonably spring-like weather, it was a great opportunity to go for a stroll down Nassau Street in the historic town known globally for its Ivy League University. The architecture and character of the town alone are reasons to pay a visit. Another one of my favorite aspects of Princeton is its collection of dining establishments. If you are a foodie like I am, step into downtown and let your imagination run wild in virtually every type of global cuisine imaginable. You would be doing yourself a disservice to not enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner in this intimate Central Jersey bed of history. From a simple cup of coffee to a five star multi-course meal event, you are almost certain to find a charming place that satisfies your desires for any occasion. Last Friday, my Wife and I stopped at a bar and grill establishment Winberies, which is located on a corner in the downtown section of Palmer Square right off of Nassau Street. For those unfamiliar with this part of town, picture a small picturesque collection of shops that slightly resemble Cape May, minus the beach, intertwined with a massive block of gorgeous, yet extremely expensive townhomes. Inside, on one side is a homey cozy bar that stretches across most of the room to group of tables in the back. The other side has a section of tables and booths, which is where we sat. The booths are wooden with names of prior guests carved into them. I like this touch. It makes for an interesting conversation while waiting for your meal, in addition to a nice touch of character. I enjoyed the Grilled Honey Mustard Chicken sandwich with an IPA. One of the intriguing menu items that I will try another time when I visit is the Craft Burger, which is basically a different burger with unique toppings that is changed frequently. This is cool as it will give you a reason to keep coming back, especially if you are a burger fanatic as I am. The environment alone makes it a great stop for anyone looking to have a casual date or a drink to catch up with an old friend. The vibe gives off a warm, friendly neighborhood feel. The location is nice because after dinner, there is a nice little block of streets to take a casual stroll, and perhaps finish the night by indulging with a scoop of ice cream from Halo Pub around the corner (The cookies and cream is incredible!). Enjoy the week! C
